The 2010 Miles Franklin Literary Award has been won by Peter Temple for Truth. The 2010 Orange Prize for Fiction has been won by Barbara Kingsolver for The Lacuna. Winners of the New Zealand Post Children’s Book Awards 2010 have been announced. The full list is here.. The 2010 Edgar Award Best Novel has been won by John Hart for The Last Child. The 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction has been won by Paul Harding for Tinkers. Rana Dasgupta has won the Commonwealth Writer's Prize Best Book for Solo. The Best First Book was won by Glenda Guest for Siddon Rock. The Adventures of Vela by Albert Wendt, has won the Commonwealth Writer’s Prize for the Asia Pacific Region. The overall winners for Best Book and Best First Book will be decided on Monday 12 April 2010. Val McDermid has won the CWA Cartier Diamond Dagger Award. Val's latest novel is Fever of the Bone. William Brodrick has won the CWA Gold Dagger for A Whispered Name. Johan Theorin has won the CWA John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger for Echoes from The Dead.
