Gold Dagger Award

The Gold Dagger Award is given annually by the Crime Writers’ Association for the best crime novel of the year. The Dagger Awards acknowledge the very best in fiction and non-fiction, thriller and historical mystery, short story and librarians’ choice, first-time author and distinguished practitioner. The award for the year’s outstanding crime novel is, the largest crime-writing prize in the world.

The Crime Writers' Association also awards a biennial CWA Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction and several other "Dagger" awards.
